Don Saunders,

   Don Saunders and I went through the Marine Corps Basic School training back in 1968.  We then went to different areas of Vietnam and I didn’t connect with Don until 2008 when the Basic School Marines were planning a 40th year reunion.  I told Don that I had just finished copywrighting my book, “No wonder you’re Fat, You don’t eat enough” and Don asked me to help him lose 100 lbs. in 6 months.  I told Don you’re not going to lose 100 lbs. but you can at least look and feel better. 

   Don was 6’ tall and 305 lbs.  I had Don get some meal replacement, fiber/protein shakes and drink them 2 to 3 times a day. (He only drank 1 or 2 per day.) I also advised him to replace soda pop, (Coke, Pepsi etc.) with either un-sweetened carbonated mineral water, soda water or ice tea,  Also, I sent him a video of my 10 minute daily dumbbell exercise that he should do.

   Well, Don began drinking 1 or 2 shakes per day, and did not do the exercise I suggested but said he did other exercises with weights he had and he cut back on the sugar, soft drinks.  Six month’s later, in time for the reunion, Don had lost 6” off his waist.  Don told me he could now tighten his belt 6” tighter than before, from about a 46” waist down to a 40”.    

   I was glad I had helped a Marine buddy get in better shape and it goes to show that even if you don’t follow the Easy Way Fat Loss program exactly, you will still make forward progress and feel & look better.
